Prof. Anjali Suresh

Dr. Anjali Suresh (PT), Dean School of Health Sciences and Principal, Garden City College of Physiotherapy, holds a Master of Physiotherapy Degree in Cardio Respiratory Diseases from Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University and has an experience of over 26 year. She has both international and national experience in the field of Physiotherapy. Dr. Anjali Suresh started her carrier at Manipal Hospital, Manipal and later worked under Dr. K. M. Cherian – Cardiothoracic Surgeon at Madras Medical Mission.

She went on to work at the Ministry of Health, Saudi Arabia, where she was awarded the “Best Employee of the Year” in 1992. After a short stint of 2 years, Dr. Anjali Suresh worked also at the Ministry of Health, Kuwait. Having gained good Clinical experience, Dr. Anjali Suresh specialized in Cardio Respiratory Diseases in her Post Graduate Studies after which she has held various senior faculty positions. She was the pioneer Principal of a Physiotherapy College in West Bengal. Dr. Anjali Suresh was the former Member of the Academic Council at Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka and served two terms as Board of Studies Member at the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka. She is also the program Co-ordinator of the NSS unit of Garden City College of Physiotherapy.

Dr. Anjali Suresh has presented research papers in various seminars and conferences. Dr. Anjali Suresh was awarded the Life Time Achievement Award by the Bangalore Physiotherapy Network and Achievement Award by Physio Accord in 2014.She was Honored for her Excellence in Professional growth and Physiotherapy education by NIMHANS Physio Con 2018 and has been the Chairperson for several conferences. Dr. Anjali Suresh is a recognized Post Graduate guide at Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka and has guided several Post Graduate students in their dissertations. Dr. Anjali Suresh is also the external examiner and paper setter for various Universities in India and has been the External Member of Board of Studies for other Universities. Under her leadership several students have secured University Ranks and have been well placed in India and Abroad. Currently Dr.Anjali Suresh is a research scholar and pursuing her Ph.D. at Garden City University.
