Dr. Annie Thomas Ph.D

Director Phsiocare and Research coordinator Dr Annie Thomas has a wide experience of the academics as well as the Clinic over 20 years. She completed Ph.D specialization in the field of physiotherapy in the year 2017. She explored the comparative Analysis of Motor Control Stability Exercise Program and Strengthening Program in the treatment of Chronic Low Back Pain among Male Weightlifters. She has pursued her bachelors and Masters in physiotherapy from esteemed institutions. Adding to her credits she has presented various papers in international/national conference in the field of physiotherapy. She is being a resource person nationally and internationally in the field of Physiotherapy and ergonomics. She has been certified by the international association of the study of pain. Adding to the she is certified by SJRI Bangalore in Research Ethics, Grant management of health and Social Science researchers. She is a part of the research ethics committee in GCU. She has grant funded projects in National and International levels. She worked as a NAAC coordinator in JSSCPT, Mysore and Deputy NAAC coordinator, SJMC, Bangalore. She worked in JSSCPT, Mysore for 15 years and later St.Johns medical college, Bangalore as Professor and Head. She is guide and evaluator for PG and PhD students in GCU and various other universities in India. She has received various awards and accolades. She has been awarded the prestigious GCU Puraskar. She has won “Mrs.Shobha Alwa Memorial Gold Medal” for the “Best outstanding student” for the Year 2002 of RGUHS. She won the award for “Best outgoing student” from Karnataka College of Physiotherapy. She won First Rank in MPT in Neurophysiotherapy from Calicut University. She was elected as a “RASHTRAPATI GUIDE” to accompany president of India, S.D.Sharma in 7th Nov 1992. She is the life member of “The Indian Association of Physiotherapists” India.
